A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO NOT GOING TO SCHOOL

 Me and my family have always been close but since we are four it was always my sister and my mom and me and my dad but this year during quarantine my sister and my dad started talking more and my mom stopped working so I became really close to her. I thought I knew her well but turns out I have a lot of things to learn about her childhood, I am so glad we became quarantined because me and my mom are closer than ever now and actually my whole family is super close now and I absolutely love it.

ACCEPTING THE CALL TO ADVENTURE

I was at the store when I received the email then I remembered that in class Dr. Preston said to have a page open so we can be ready to write down our first impressions so I  waited until I got home and read it then and my first thoughts were " What , how did he come up with this while laughing" it was  funny and interesting to read. A Call To Adventure . This a different experience than being given a text book because in the email we all had different questions and all of our brains worked differently.

AM I A HERO? When I searched up what sickness was going on around near the pre-Revolution in Paris and Ancient Greece and I found out their was a skin disease going around. I think this was what the email was talking about. My only question is was it a skin disease or was I wrong. 

The browser /search engine I used was google and the terms I used to investigate the question with were "sickness going around during the pre- Revolution in Paris and or Greece" and when I realized they were both related to skin diseases I searched up specifically what skin disease was going around and I found out a lot of things in WIKIPEDIA .Some of the sites I used were TIME  and MED . Some information I think can help us is that there was a plague and a skin disease going around in the same time frame and maybe this can help me answer the question.

Journal Topics

 I remember how I made friends when I was a kid. It was easy. My two best friends became my best friends when one of us said, "Hey! Wanna be friends?" As we get older, though, it seems more complicated to make and keep friends. Why should this be so? How do you make friends? 

I made some of my friends because of soccer, softball, and track and I also made some through other friends and I also make friends in my classes when I dont know anyone so I just start talking to them and we just become friends.

Describe the most amazing adventure you've had - or, the most amazing adventure you'd like to have. 

 So far one of the most amazing adventures ive had is driving to L.A with my sister and going to a concert. A adventure i would like to have is a summer with my bestfriend having as much fun as we had last year when we drove 7 hours to pick her up.

  These past few days have been really fun and interesting we discuss topics that wouldn't seem normal in a classroom and these past few days we all got to get to know each other in a really fun way.

Am I A Hero

In my opinion I think my learning this semester is totally an adventure in the present and future. I believe its an adventure because Dr. Preston doesn't teach like any other teacher, he takes our opinion into value and I think he actually likes his job and does it with passion and this is leading me to an adventure were I enjoy doing my work for this class and this also helps me in my future adventure because everything I'm learning from his class will help me in the long run because of his ways of teaching and this will all help with my future career. So yes i strongly believe this class is an adventure 

A Call To Adventure

 When I first opened the email it made me laugh but I was very confused I'm not sure if I am correct and maybe tomorrow I will have a better theory but for today this is what I've got.

I did some research of some of the illnesses that are most famous in the places you gave me as a hint and they all have to do with a skin disease so I believe that the people who were sick had this skin disease and the doctor obviously didn't know it was contagious because he isn't a real doctor so he put the babies near them and the babies got it and the detective saw it right away but I am not sure about my theory being correct.

The word future is a loaded topic. What does it even mean? Something that doesn't exist (yet)? How did you first come to understand the idea? How would you explain it to someone who is hearing it for the first time? 

I would describe the word future as a path of all the choices you have made in life as something you determine by every choice you make even if its a simple choice like being late to work because that can affect your future. It is a road in which your choices takes you 

People talk about you. Or they don't. What difference does it make

This journal topic reminded me of a time I heard a quote and it said "It isn't what they say but what they whisper " Errol Flynn and I just thought that it went along great with this journal topic ,also people talking about you can either make a great influence in your life or a really bad one because someone like a teacher can talk to the manager of the store you applied for a job at and they can say something good and you get the job or they say something negative and you dont so maybe people talking about you can be good or maybe it can be bad it all depends.

When have you said goodbye to someone or something - and felt cheerful about it?

I felt very cheerful when I said goodbye to social media for about a week because I didn't feel pressured to be someone else or to look like someone else ,I also felt cheerful when I let go of the friends I had in school before quarantine because I realize now I didn't feel like myself when I hung around them

 I made a cake on Thursday night and my grandma has diabetes so she cant eat much sugar so I made a frosting that was perfect for her and that is why the frosting looks a little funny .
